Residences

The Drawing Lab residencies extend the Drawing Society's commitment to contemporary drawing, offering artists working, research and experimental spaces in the heart of Paris.

Conceived as times for production and encounters, they accompany artists whose practices explore drawing in all its forms: from paper to installation, from gesture to moving image, from volume to performance.

With the Drawing Factory, former hotel spaces were temporarily transformed into workshops, places for living and transmission. These residencies have enabled dozens of French and international artists to develop their projects in a collective setting, conducive to exchange, collaboration and openness to the public.

Through these programs, the Drawing Lab affirms drawing as a living, experimental and open territory, capable of taking over places, creating working communities and making visible the most current forms of contemporary creation.
