Matthias Lehmann is sometimes an illustrator for press and publishing, but above all a comic book artist and cartoonist. He got his start in the vibrant fanzine scene of the mid-90s, publishing drawings, prints, paintings and comics in a multitude of underground magazines. In the years 2000-2010, he began working for the more traditional press. He has published a dozen books, including La Favorite, published in 2015 by Actes Sud, and has had some fifteen exhibitions of his drawings.
