After studying computer science in Algeria, Massinissa Selmani attended the École supérieure des Beaux-arts de Tours between 2005 and 2010. Massinissa Selmani received a special mention from the jury at the 56th Venice Biennale in 2015, and was awarded the Art [ ]collector prize and the Sam Art Projects prize for contemporary art in 2016. He has exhibited at the Palais de Tokyo (Paris), the Dakar Biennale (Senegal) and the Lyon Biennale (France), Zachęta National Gallery of Art (Poland), Sharjah Biennale (United Arab Emirates), IVAM Valencia (Spain), UGM Maribor (Slovenia), Frac Centre (France), Au Modern Art Oxford (UK), Belgrade Museum of African Art (Serbia), Bandjoun station (Cameroon).
