Daniel Otero Torres winner CPGA-Donated 2023

Daniel Otero Torres was awarded the “CPGA-Étant donnés 2023” prize at Art Basel Miami Beach. Otero Torres received the $15,000 prize for his work Los Abrazos del Viento, exhibited at the “mor charpentier” gallery booth (Paris, Bogota). The award recognizes the work of a contemporary artist based in France, exhibited among the CPGA member galleries taking part in the American art fair, thus raising the international profile of the French art scene.

Impressed by his use of diverse media and techniques to convey meaningful messages, the jury awarded the prize to Daniel Otero Torres for his ability to “explore the complexities of identity, migration and the impact of globalization on diverse communities, fostering a deeper understanding of social and environmental issues”.
