Thomas Broomé dances with words at Bendana | Pinel Art Contemporain
From September 6 to October 31, 2025, Bendana | Pinel Art Contemporain will be hosting the fourth solo exhibition by Swedish artist Thomas Broomé, entitled DANCEDANCEDANCE.
Known for her singular use of visual language, Broomé’s work here explores repetition as a metaphor for our contemporary existences. In her paintings, everyday objects – bouquets, bottles, sculptures – are covered with the word
The exhibition oscillates between seduction and criticism: the objects shine with beauty, but this aesthetic conceals a reflection on systems of control, bureaucracy and consumerism. Yet Broomé contrasts this imposed dance with the possibility of a spontaneous, collective, joyful dance – one that emerges without rules, like a free, unpredictable celebration.
With DANCEDANCEDANCE, Thomas Broomé holds up a mirror to our choreographed lives, inviting us all to reinvent our steps.
