In this exhibition, Juliette Green abandons the technique of drawing on paper to create text-based paintings on wood panels. She thus hijacks the academic forms of the triptych or painting and reinterprets historical discourses on Space. She has drawn on a corpus of public speeches made between 1948 and 2018 to invent humorous fictions that invite visitors to reconsider their own discourse on Space.
From tiny works to monumental creations, Juliette Green is constantly experimenting with the materiality of textual work. Her drawings unfold in diagrams that reconstitute a narrative whose starting point is a simple question about our relationship with the world. His work has been exhibited at the Crédac, the Salon de Montrouge, Les Invalides and the 2023 edition of Un été au Havre. In 2022, the artist also produced live drawings at the Palais de Tokyo and Drawing Now.
