If I were a tree, I’d be you

The exhibition explores the link between sight and touch through the sensitive work of Raphaëlle Peria, who uses images to recreate a tactile sensation – “touching with the eyes”. Inspired by poetry (notably that of Guillevic) and nature, the artist transforms the surface of images through meticulous interventions, giving rise to works in relief, between vision and matter.

His art recreates an all-encompassing sensory experience, akin to that experienced in nature, where all the senses are called upon. Through her gestures, trees and plants become subjects in their own right, endowed with an almost living presence. The fragile, delicate works evoke the beauty but also the vulnerability of the plant world in an anxious ecological context.

The exhibition invites us to experience nature differently – not as an object to be observed, but as a being to be listened to, almost touched, through our eyes.
