Francoise Petrovich

From September 8 to 30, 2023, the Galerie de Sèvres presents a brand-new collection of 11 vases painted by Françoise Pétrovitch, a major figure on the contemporary art scene.

Between 2007 and 2010, the artist created a series of sculptures for the Manufacture de Sèvres, including a monumental work. Then, in 2013, she designed a numbered edition of Service de Fables. This new collaboration is an opportunity for her to appropriate emblematic vase shapes from the Manufacture, on which characters from her dreamlike world come to life in red and blue on a white background. Françoise Pétrovitch is an artist with multiple practices – engraving, painting, sculpture, ceramics, glass, video, books… – For this series, Françoise Pétrovitch plays with different formats, from the majestic Charpin (120 cm) to the delicate Mayodon vase (30 cm).
