Before the flowers fade

For its autumn exhibition, the Bullukian Foundation honors drawing in its most varied expressions. Whether created in the studio or in situ, as withCamille Chastang, or on a sidewalk during a trip to the other side of the world, as with Thomas Henriot, it’s always the autonomous, free and uninhibited gesture that permeates the work of these two artists.

The Avant que ne fanent les fleurs exhibition is an ode to these images in motion, where line emancipates itself from paper to reach other supports, where ink overflows frames to colonize new spaces and where drawings bloom like gardens. Nature is abundant, blossoming in bouquets of bright red roses, violets, blue and yellow irises, almost making us forget how fleeting and ephemeral they are.
