Bernard Villers & Tatiana Wolska: Reinventing matter
The “Assemblages ” exhibition brings together works by Bernard Villers and Tatiana Wolska, two artists who explore the gestures of fragmentation and reconstruction. Their joint work is distinguished by a minimalist, poetic approach, in which the reuse of everyday objects becomes a creative act.
With his Recollages series, Bernard Villers transforms torn sheets of paper and carefully glues them back together, exposing the joints and imperfections as traces of his process. His work plays between rationality and chance, seeking a balance between mastery and deviation.
Tatiana Wolska, meanwhile, transforms recycled materials – pallets, plastic bottles, wood – into organic sculptures, where instinct and repetition of gesture reveal a hybridization between nature and culture.
The works of both artists share a common desire: to reorganize the ordinary, and to create new forms of expression from fragmented matter. Their assemblages remind us that art is not simply a reproduction of reality, but an act of continuous transformation.
