Born in 1977, Chourouk Hriech is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Lyon. She has taken part in numerous exhibitions, including Printemps de Septembre in Toulouse in 2009, the 8th Shanghai
She has also exhibited at MAMCO in Geneva, the 3rd Marrakec Biennial, the Circullo Bellas Artes Museum in Madrid, Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo, the Kunsthalle in Mulhouse, the Musée d’art contemporain in Marseille, the Musée Es Baluers in Palma de Mallorca, the Musée Cantini in Marseille, the MAC, the VAL in Vitry sur Seine, the MAC Lyon, the Fondation Thalie in Brussels… She has carried out numerous public and private commissions, for Un Immeuble Une Œuvre (Groupe Emerige) and Le Voyage à Nantes, to name but a few.
She published Roses et camélias with Editions P, a book of texts and drawings around the cities of Marseille, Casablanca and Paris, in which she invited 12 female authors to write, with the support of Sam Art Project, Paris. Or Faire Ailleurs, with Melik Ohanian and Nicolas Bourriaud, in 2017.
From 2012 to 2018, she was in charge of the “Ligne de Fuite” column on drawing for the Casablanca-based magazine Diptyk, l’art vu du Maroc.
His work can be found in numerous public and private collections.
