Artists in residence at Casa de Velázquez

French artists Raphaëlle Peria and François Réau have been selected to join Casa de Velázquez in Madrid, a prestigious residence dedicated to artistic creation and research. Their stay will begin in September 2025 and run until July 2026.

Casa de Velázquez, founded in 1928, is a public institution that offers resident artists an environment conducive to experimentation and cultural exchange. Located in the Ciudad Universitaria district, it welcomes artists from a variety of disciplines, fostering an enriching interdisciplinary dynamic.

During their residency, Raphaëlle Peria and François Réau will have the opportunity to develop their artistic projects while benefiting from personalized support. They will also participate in Casa de Velázquez’s programming, contributing to the vitality of the contemporary art scene.

The annual residency program traditionally concludes with a group exhibition, enabling artists to present the fruits of their research and creation. The 2025-2026 edition will reflect the diversity and richness of the work carried out at this emblematic institution.
